Teacher Lynn Hart (M,W,F 2's)
 

Hello! My name is Lynn Hart, or as the children call me, Teacher Lynn.  I’m excited to be part of the staff at Preschool in the Valley and am already enjoying my time with our group of two-year-olds.  My history with the preschool goes back to when my sons attended here; I especially remembered being a Mystery Reader, and the smiles on the kids’ faces.

My husband (Mike) and I have three sons, with the older two in college, and the youngest one at the Melmark School in Berwyn. Being a mom is very important to me but working with young children and seeing them grow and develop, along with telling them about Jesus, is precious.

 

A little about my background: I have a BA in History from The King’s College in Briarcliff Manor, NY as well as an MA in Multi-Cultural Education from Eastern College in St. David’s, PA.  As part of the program, I also received my state certification for Elementary Education.  Following that, I taught in Philadelphia at a Christian elementary school.  I enjoyed teaching 2nd graders using a Bible-based curriculum.  We learned the Ten Commandments through song, memorized many Bible verses along with learning science, math, English, history, etc.  I also had the opportunity to work as a director at an after-school program, as well as at a daycare.  These jobs stretched me as a person, but I gained insight into partnering with parents in helping their children mature.

I am very glad to be a part of Preschool in the Valley and expect great things to take place during the coming year!
