Kristy Hunt - Teacher (5 day 4 year olds)

 

Hello!  My name is Kristy Hunt (Teacher Kristy).  ​I graduated from Millersville University with a dual degree in Elementary and Special Education.  I later got my master's degree in education from Gratz College. I taught Learning Support (Special Education) for 16 years, primarily in 3rd grade.

 

I started working at Preschool in the Valley as an aide in the spring of 2021. Even though I had many years of teaching experience at that point, I had no idea what to do with preschoolers, which is why I liked starting as an aide.  I ended up falling in love with preschool!   I love the joy and excitement of the children. I love sharing stories with them, doing crafts, singing songs, playing games, and putting together puzzles. I love seeing the spark in their eyes when they learn something new. I love their questions and the ways they make me laugh.  In the fall of 2021, I was given the opportunity to be a 3s teacher which I gladly accepted.  In fall 2023 I transitioned to being the 5-day 4s teacher.

 

My husband (Rees) and I live in Paoli. We attend church here at Great Valley Presbyterian where I help teach Sunday School, work in the nursery, and help plan family events. In my spare time I love to travel with my husband (I'm really into National Parks and National Park lands right now), but we can find adventure even close to home. I love reading, painting, crafting, photography, the outdoors, drinking tea, cooking, and baking. I love spending time with my nephews and niece.
