Marcia Vance - Teaching Assistant (M, W,  F 3's)

 

Hello! My name is Marcia Vance or Teacher Marcia. I have worked at Preschool In The Valley for four years. 

I began working with children and families after completing my Master’s Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hartford. For many years I worked with children struggling with emotional issues in foster care and residential settings. I decided to stay home when my children were born. I have two daughters ages 12 and 15 who both attended Preschool in the Valley. I loved the community, the caring atmosphere, and the Christian foundation at Preschool in the Valley. My shy girls flourished here under the loving care of their teachers. After many years of volunteering in elementary school I was thrilled to have the opportunity to work at the preschool.

I love working at Preschool In The Valley! It is a magical place where children learn not just “academics” but the social and emotional skills to care for themselves and each other. The love of Christ shines through our school in the singing voices of the children and the smiling faces of our teachers. It is a special place and I am excited to work in the 3’s classrooms!
