Marcia Vance - Teaching Assistant (4 day 4s)

 

Hello! My name is Marcia Vance or Teacher Marcia.  I have worked at Preschool in the Valley since 2016.  Over the years I have been assistant in the 2's, 3's, and 4's classrooms.

 

I began working with children and families after completing my Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology at the University of Hartford.  For many years I worked with children in foster care and residential treatment settings.  I decided to stay home when my children were born.  I have two daughters ages 18 and 20.  Both my daughters attended Preschool in the Valley starting in the two's class.  I loved the warm welcoming environment and the sense of community at  Preschool in the Valley. My quiet and reserved daughters flourished here under the loving care of the their teachers.  After many years volunteering at my girls elementary schools I was thrilled to have the opportunity to join the staff at Preschool.

 

I love working at Preschool in the Valley.  I feel privileged to spend my morning with children watching as they spend their school day exploring and growing.  Preschool is a place where all children are celebrated for who they are and encouraged to love learning.
