Lisa Sybrandt - Director & Music Teacher

 

Hello! My name is Lisa Sybrandt. I graduated from Penn State University in 1991 with a BS degree in Human Development and Family Studies. I have been an employee of Preschool in the Valley since September 2006.  After working as a teacher in the 3s & 2s classes for 16 years, I was promoted to Preschool Director in June of 2022.  I have also taught the preschool music classes since 2019.

My passion is preschoolers! I love watching the children become confident, independent and capable students. In addition to working at the Preschool, I am also a member of Great Valley Presbyterian Church. Sometimes on Sunday mornings you might see me either helping in a Sunday School classroom or singing in the church choir. 

I enjoy walking through the Bible sharing true stories of Jesus' birth, life with his disciples, and resurrection.  As a part of our preschool curriculum we offer music and I am the music teacher. We have fun learning scripture through songs, singing & playing instruments such as jingle bells, shaky eggs, rhythm sticks, drums, chime bells & much more. 

The best thing about working with young children is that I get to spend my time with them! As my own three children have gotten older and moved on to college and beyond, I get to remember how precious the time spent with young children is and see the enthusiasm and amazement on their faces as they discover their world.
